At a loss It's getting harder to watch you go down
Without wanting to give you my hand
Everyone thinks that I should just give up
They don't know, they don't understand
We've been through the works, we've always survived
This is just another bump in the track
But the road's getting dusty and I can't seem to see
I'm so scared we won't find our way back
I try to be strong, I try to keep going
But sometimes I just want to hide
It's like i'm in a foreign place
And I'm alone, without a guide
I don't know what will happen now
But I'm here for you no matter what

Coloured Shirts Blue, White, Beige…Jade, Yellow and Green
Are the staff uniform shirts that you may have seen?
Each colour has meaning, it helps identify
The job of the staff member passing you by

Light blue is for nurses, the NUM's shirts are dark
The life of a nurse is no walk in the park
High demands, short staffing, and of course there's late nights
But seeing patients recover is one of their favourite sights

The white represents our administration
They type, make appointments and record information
They're sometimes the frontline but sometimes hidden away
All are hired for the large range of skills they display

Most don't know we're there
We do the administration work
That's involved in patient care

Behind the scenes we're working hard
So that there's no complications
The doctors can then treat your needs
Without the clerical frustrations

Behind the scenes we assist each other
To keep things running well
Most would think it's an easy task
But it can make us want to yell

But yelling is something rare to us
We face all our tasks with a smile
And if you have a question or a comment
We'll go that extra mile

But when we work, we put jokes aside

Well Now...

Its 11.27pm on Saturday the 18th of September 2010.
I just deleted all of my old journal entries and i'm about to delete any poems which i deem stupid and probably edit any which I don't think flow properly.

For all those who don't know, I have a fiance called Brendan who i've been with for 2 years and 4 months...I guess you could say we're serious. lol.

I'm gonna try really hard to get back into my poetry, I used to have a talent so I don't want it to go to waste.

And on that note, I think i'll get back to erasing the elements of my past that I think are insignificant.
